Chapel of the Sacred Self 2023 - Festival des Architectures Vives 23
Competition Entry
Sacredness has become plural. No longer the rites and rituals themselves, but the documentation of them has become the sacred good. It is no longer important what it is but how it is contributing to an identity, performed on social media platforms by visual content. The act of producing visual content has become the rite of sacredness itself.

The “Chapel of the Sacred Self” is trying to redefine sacred architecture as something to be explored and experienced in a contemporary way, acknowledging new means of observing, interacting, and identifying in architectural space.
